All Croatian eyes will be on indoor volleyball star Samanta Fabris on Wednesday as she and partner Sara Radanovic face number one seeds and world champions Larissa/Talita in the Main Draw in a mouthwatering opening match in Pool A.

Court 6 and 13:00 CET are the two important pieces of information that Croatian beach volleyball fans need to know to get behind one of the three teams representing the home nation in the women’s Main Draw at the Poreč Major.

Alongside Larissa/Talita and Radanovic/Fabris in Pool A are Holtwick/Semmler of Germany and Broder/Valjas of Canada.

Our super-efficient sports department drew the eight Pools on Tuesday night after a typically hectic day of qualification – and Pool G looks of particular interest with four outstanding teams placed together a real group of death. Germans Borger/Büthe face Brazilians Elise Maia/Duda, Schwaiger/Hansel of Austria and China’s Wang/Yue.

smart Major Hamburg winners Ludwig/Walkenhorst, who are gunning for an incredible fourth tournament wins in a row this week, are second seeds and lie in Pool B together with Slukova/Hermannova of the Czech Republic, Humana-Paredes/Pischke of Canada and Croatia’s Jurja/Becic.

Home fans can also support Rosko/Jelic in Pool H, in which they are eighth seeds. They face stiff competition from Germany qualifiers Bieneck/Groβner and two teams from Switzerland: Heidrich/Zumkehr and Betschart/Hüberli.

Meanwhile smart Major Hamburg bronze medalists Agatha/Barbara line-up in Pool C together with Spain’s Liliana/Elsa, Poland’s Gruszczynska/Strag and one of the six German teams in the draw, Laboureur/Sude.
