About
Poreč is a town and municipality on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, Croatia, in Europe. Set around a harbour, Poreč was founded almost 2000 years ago. Today, the city has a population of around 12.000. The fact that Poreč is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Croatia reflects the popularity of the city, the surrounding region and its outstanding location by the sea. In 2016 the City of Mosaics will host its second international Beach Volleyball tournament as part of the Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series.
