Thank you Poreč!

Nevjerojatan tjedan u Poreču – that means amazing week in Poreč in Croatian!

We really have, and – using all the sad emojis possible – it's with sadness that we have to bid a fond farewell for the third year running to the beautiful town of Poreč and yet another Poreč Major.

Weeks in beach volleyball flash by in the blink of an eye and it’s hard to think we set up shop on the shores of the Adriatic last week.

Since then 176 games have been and gone and new champions have been crowned and our congratulations go to Sarah Pavan (finally!) and Melissa Humana-Paredes and Pedro Solberg Salgado and Gustavo ‘Guto’ Carvalhaes.

For us though, the ever-lasting memory will be witnessing thousands of fans packing into Red Bull Beach Arena throughout the week, the unbelievable night matches and not one but two stunning firework displays.

There have been tears of joy on and off court – we’ve even had players sobbing and saying that they don’t want to leave this beach volleyball paradise.

Fear not, though, beach volleyball fans – you only have to wait until Tuesday for your next fix of the beautiful game…because we’re heading to the mountains for the next instalment of the Gstaad Major.

So thank you for having us again Poreč. It’s been emotional!
