Canadian has had enough of winning silver in Poreč
You’d think winning a silver medal at a Swatch Major Series would be a good thing. Not for Sarah Pavan.
The 6ft 6in Canadian won silver at the past two Poreč Major tournaments with former teammate Heather Bansley in 2015 and last year.
This year 2016 Olympian Pavan is at it again as, together with new partner Melissa Humana-Paredes, she has reached the last four.
On Saturday the duo take on Brazilians Barbara Seixas and Fernanda Alves aiming for a place in the final. Just don’t mention the ‘s word’.
“I love this place but it’s time for gold!” Pavan told us. “We have a tough match but we’ll be looking for gold.
“I’m definitely sick of winning silver.”
The women’s semifinal and final is the main attraction the Porec Major on Saturday – but don’t forget the guys. They play their round of 16 and quarterfinals and all of the matches are live on BeachStream, so sign-up now!
