Unbeaten day on the sand for the samba boys
Olympic champions and last year’s gold medalists Alison/Bruno led Brazil’s charge on day three of the Poreč Major.
The four teams in the men’s main draw all completed victories with the Rio Olympic heroes earning their second pool play victory of the tournament with an impressive straight sets win over Chilean cousins Esteban and Marco Grimalt.
For February’s Fort Lauderdale Major champions Alvaro Filho/Saymon, they won twice – following up their morning win over Ivan Perišić and Niksa Dell’Orco with another comfortable victory, this time over America’s Jake Gibb and Taylor Crabb.
Pedro Solberg and Guto Carvalhaes consolidated their place at the top of Pool H with a win over Polish pair Szalankiewicz/Rudol.
And, to complete a brilliant day for the Brazilian men, Evandro Goncalves and Andre Loyola secured their first pool play win to take over at the top of Pool D thanks to their victory over Mexicans Ontiveros/Virgen.
The men’s pool play finishes tomorrow and you can watch all the matches from today on BeachStream and don’t forget to check out live coverage throughout this evening’s night matches.
