Poreč Major has been honored with the ‘Golden Goat’. This annual prestigious Croatian event award, the „Zlatna Koza - Capra dóro Award“, stands for outstanding contribution in the field of marketing activities in Istrian tourism.

The first ever Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series stop not only convinced 62.200 spectators and visitors during the event week but also the Istria Board´s Tourist Council! With some of the most beautiful Side Courts of the FIVB World Tour Season and a fully packed Center Court the first ever Major Series stop, the Poreč Major at the Adriatic coast, was a huge success in 2015.

Based on the high-end standards of the traditional Beach Volleyball Event in Klagenfurt, a 4,000 seat Center Court with an interactive Vendor Village as well as an exclusive VIP area, an outstanding player’s area and tremendous side events turned this June 2015 event into an unforgettable experience.

Poreč Major being the biggest sporting event ever held in Croatia in terms of numbers of top athletes competing as well as the prize money available - USD 800,000 has now been awarded with the „Zlatna Koza - Capra dóro Award“ in the category “Event”.
